Use Voice with Aurora Without Losing the Review Trail
Use ordinary Aurora voice when available, then review names, numbers, sources and action boundaries before relying on the result.

What you will learn
- Distinguish ordinary Aurora voice from named agents and phone calls.
- Correct transcript ambiguity before relying on a brief.
- Keep voice input separate from an authorized action.
Use voice to capture or discuss a brief in ordinary Aurora when your current browser or supported client, model and account allow it. Review the resulting words and evidence before treating speech as a task or an action. Voice availability in Aurora does not mean that every custom agent has voice or that Aurora can place a telephone call.
Source check: October 22, 2026. Current product documentation and implementation support a conditional ordinary Aurora voice mode. This guide is a source-based exercise, not a recorded voice test or a claim of measured time savings.
Separate speaking, agents and calls
| Surface | What this guide supports | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary Aurora conversation | Voice can be a conversation mode when available. | Current browser/client, microphone permission, supported model, service availability and credits. |
| A named custom agent | A responsibility and persistent text work context. | Do not assume ordinary Aurora voice is enabled in that agent's conversation. |
| A native client | Use its currently documented features. | Client availability or beta status alone does not prove voice parity. |
| Phone calling | No phone-call workflow is established by this guide. | Do not infer a phone number, outbound calls, call recording or always-on listening. |
A spoken instruction does not expand source permissions. If Aurora cannot access a document or account in text, naming it aloud does not establish access. A transcript is also not evidence that a promised action happened.
Use a spoken brief review card
Prepare a short structure before opening the microphone. It reduces ambiguity without requiring a polished script.
| Card field | What to say or record | What to review afterward |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | [One output for one audience] | Did the transcript preserve the actual request? |
| Source | [Permitted record/document and date] | Did Aurora retrieve it, receive it from you, or merely hear its name? |
| Names and numbers | [Spell or provide precise values in text] | Check names, dates, currency, negation and units. |
| Unknowns | [Questions and uncertain facts] | Were tentative statements turned into confident claims? |
| Boundary | [Read/summarize/draft only] | Does the output propose an action needing separate authorization? |
| Receipt | [Reviewed text and next decision] | What was actually produced, changed or left pending? |
Keep authentication codes, secrets and unrelated private information out of the spoken packet. Choose a setting where the people and material can be discussed appropriately. If speaking is inconvenient or the feature is unavailable, use the same card in text.
A reviewable voice session
- Open the ordinary Aurora conversation and check whether the current surface offers voice. Follow the browser or client microphone controls normally.
- Confirm the source you want to use. Supply a permitted excerpt if the source is not connected or cannot be found.
- State the single output and ask for a text summary for review. Keep external messages, saved records and scheduled actions outside this first request.
- Correct the transcript before refining the answer. Pay particular attention to “not,” decimal points, similar names and relative dates.
- Compare the answer with its actual source. A clear voice response can still contain an unsupported conclusion.
- Keep the reviewed version and make any later action decision explicitly. If an authorized action occurs, inspect the resulting state rather than relying on a conversational promise.
Fictional worked example: a negation changes the meaning
At the fictional company Vale, Maya dictates: “We have not confirmed the renewal. Prepare questions for the account review on Tuesday.” The draft transcript loses “not.” If that error becomes a CRM update, an uncertain renewal can turn into a misleading commitment.
Maya corrects the text to “renewal unconfirmed,” replaces “Tuesday” with the intended calendar date, and attaches the permitted source note. The reviewed output is three questions about scope, budget and decision owner. It contains no renewal commitment, outgoing message or saved change. This is an invented teaching example, not a recording of Aurora performing the task.
Turn a spoken idea into a bounded text request
The following prompt works as a text review step after speaking. It can also be used without voice in Aurora AI in Finta, Claude or Codex.
Review this spoken brief before using it.
Original goal and intended audience: [details]. Transcript: [text]. Permitted sources and dates: [references]. Corrections I have already confirmed: [details].
Identify ambiguous names, numbers, units, negations, relative dates and unsupported assumptions. Separate what I said from what a source proves. Mark missing information unknown.
Return a corrected text brief, the evidence-backed answer or questions, and a list of decisions I still need to make. Do not send, call, save, schedule, change permissions or treat the spoken request as approval for an external action. Ask a human to resolve consequential ambiguity.Common questions
Can I talk to every named agent?
Do not assume so. The reviewed implementation treats ordinary Aurora voice separately and rejects the reviewed custom-agent audio mode. Use text for that responsibility unless the current product explicitly supports the desired voice surface.
Does voice prove Aurora accessed my source?
No. Ask which source was actually used and inspect it. Mentioning a file, person or meeting aloud is not a successful retrieval receipt.
Should I retry if the mode is unavailable?
Use the visible supported options or continue in text. Do not change model, billing, permissions or service settings merely to force a mode to work.
