Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales)
Why this role exists
Finta sells workflow transformation. Prospects need to see their deal run inside the workspace. This role exists to convert interest into conviction through discovery, tailored demos, proof-of-value setups, and technical objection handling, while respecting the one-queue rule.
Captain / Co-pilot ownership
- Captain (primary): None by default (this is a high-leverage co-pilot role).
- Co-pilot (supports): Activation Queue — supports CS by diagnosing setup / integration blockers for high-fit accounts. Expansion Queue — supports Sales by running technical discovery, demo, POV setup.
- Non-negotiable: The queue captain decides sequencing and next-step outcome.
What success looks like
30 days
- Master the product and core workflows; become demo-ready on the top 3 ICP motions.
- Build a repeatable demo environment aligned to stage / queue (activation vs. expansion).
90 days
- Support most qualified deals end-to-end (technical discovery → demo → POV) and improve conversion.
- Produce reusable assets (demo scripts, POV checklists, security answers, ROI narratives).
6 months
- Reduce time-to-close and increase win rate by making value undeniable.
- Reduce post-close churn by improving handoffs (promised outcomes, constraints, stakeholders).
Reports to: Head of Sales / CEO
Responsibilities
- Run technical discovery: current workflow → pain → future-state in Finta. - Deliver crisp, customized demos centered on outcomes and next-step. - Configure POVs: inbox connect, deal activation, templates, automations. - Handle technical objections: integrations, permissions, security, admin controls. - Build sales enablement: Looms, one-pagers, reference workflows, implementation runbooks. - Feed product / engineering with friction evidence and missing capabilities.
Requirements
- Excellent communicator who can translate complexity into clarity. - Comfortable with SaaS concepts: APIs / integrations, permissions, data flows. - Strong demo craft: structured, value-first. - High ownership and fast iteration.
Nice to have
- Experience with CRMs, workflow automation, fundraising / IR, or RevOps. - Experience supporting pilots / POVs and creating repeatable enablement.
