Growth Engineer (PLG)
Why this role exists
Finta is building the Capital Copilot — an AI workspace where deals run themselves. This role exists to make the product grow itself by shipping experiments and improvements that increase activation, retention, conversion, and PQL volume / quality — and by building the instrumentation that powers routing into the right queue.
Captain / Co-pilot ownership
- Captain (primary): Visitor → Signup (demand + conversion), and the measurement layer that defines whether accounts qualify for the next queue.
- Co-pilot (supports any stage): Can run education campaigns and product messaging across the lifecycle.
- Non-negotiable: Growth never makes 1:1 onboarding or commercial commitments; the captain for the queue decides sequence.
What success looks like
30 days
- Implement / validate the account lifecycle dictionary in analytics: stage, queue, captain, last-touch.
- Instrument the activation funnel end-to-end (signup → connect inbox → create deal → add contacts → upload / share docs) with QA.
- Identify top 3 drop-offs and ship the first 3 experiments.
90 days
- Operate a weekly growth cadence: hypotheses → ship → measure → decide.
- Improve at least one of: activation rate, time-to-activation, self-serve conversion.
- Define initial PQL triggers (Expansion-Ready signals) with CS / Sales alignment and route cleanly into the Expansion Queue.
6 months
- Own a compounding roadmap across onboarding, lifecycle nudges, referrals, and conversion surfaces that supports $1M ARR by EOY 2026.
- Increase PQL quality (not just volume) by reducing false positives and improving routing clarity.
Reports to: CEO / Head of Growth
Responsibilities
- Ship product changes that move funnel metrics (onboarding, activation, upgrade, referrals, performance). - Build and run A/B tests and holdouts with clean measurement. - Define event schemas and maintain analytics integrity (stage / queue / captain accuracy). - Build dashboards for activation funnel and time-to-value, PQL triggers (Expansion-Ready signals), and self-serve conversion and expansion assists. - Partner with product / CS to create in-app nudges and lifecycle messaging that accelerate activation. - Build experimentation and landing-page infrastructure to move faster.
Requirements
- Strong shipping ability (front-end + back-end fundamentals). - Comfortable with data and experimentation (cohorts, attribution, event integrity). - Can translate ambiguous goals into measurable tests. - Speed with rigor: fast iterations without analytics chaos.
Nice to have
- PLG / self-serve SaaS experience. - Experience with PostHog / Mixpanel / GA4 and lifecycle systems. - Experience building PQL scoring / triggers and routing.
