AI Agent Software Engineering Intern
Overview
Finta is hiring a part-time AI Agent Software Engineering Intern for Fall 2026. You’ll work alongside our product and engineering team to ship real features in Aurora, Finta’s AI agent, and across the Finta workspace.
This is a 10-hour-per-week internship running from September 14 through December 11, 2026. The role is unpaid and available for college credit.
About Finta
Finta is a relationship intelligence and workflow platform for founders and private-capital teams. It helps users find the right people, understand the relationship context behind a deal, and move from research to a reviewable next action.
As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience building production software, prototyping AI-agent workflows, and learning how an early-stage company turns customer needs into reliable product experiences. You’ll receive regular mentorship and feedback while contributing work that matters to the product roadmap.
What you’ll do
- Build and improve product features using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and modern cloud services.
- Prototype AI-agent workflows using LLM APIs, tool calling, and LangChain- or LangGraph-style orchestration.
- Connect product experiences to application data and third-party APIs.
- Test, debug, and document your work so features are reliable and easy for the team to maintain.
- Work with product and design to turn customer problems into clear technical solutions.
- Contribute ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and participate in code reviews and team feedback.
What we’re looking for
- A college student currently studying computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and React.
- A solid foundation in HTML, CSS, APIs, and web application development.
- Curiosity about AI agents, language models, and how AI can support real workflows.
- Strong written communication, prioritization, and follow-through.
- Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment and receiving direct feedback.
Nice to have
- Experience with Next.js, Supabase or PostgreSQL, Vercel, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google model APIs.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, tool calling, retrieval, or evaluation workflows.
- A project, startup, open-source contribution, or other entrepreneurial build you can show us.
Schedule and location
- 10 hours per week.
- September 14–December 11, 2026.
- Remote within the United States, with optional onsite or hybrid work in Buffalo, New York.
College credit
This internship is available for college credit. Please speak with your academic advisor or career-services office to confirm your eligibility and requirements. If you’re accepted, we’ll work with you and your institution to complete the necessary documentation.
