Find venture capital in South America by comparing the company's actual market, the next financing milestone and an investor's published mandate. A Brazilian software company, a Colombian fintech and a Chilean biotech spinout can need very different investor research.
These 21 selected investment routes connect to South American markets or the wider Latin American ecosystem. Some managers also invest beyond the continent. Their regional remit is context, not a promise that any company or country qualifies.
Build a market-specific shortlist
- Record your operating market. Separate customers and company location from planned expansion.
- Check the mandate. Brazil-specific, Spanish-speaking and broader Latin American strategies differ.
- Match the entry round. A portfolio company's later round does not establish a new investor's first-check criteria.
- Choose the actual route. Direct equity, company building and other investment strategies are not interchangeable.
Compare 21 South American investor routes
Use provider type, stage and geographic connection together. An office address is not a promise of eligibility. Where the current source does not establish a precise entry stage, the table leaves that question open.
Selected South America-relevant investment routes researched October 29, 2026. Regional mandates do not mean that a firm invests in every country. On small screens, scroll the table sideways to see every column.

Brazil and Spanish-speaking markets are not one mandate
Astella describes a Brazil-linked company-building focus; Fen explicitly describes Spanish-speaking Latin America and excludes Brazil. Managers such as Kaszek and Magma describe wider regional strategies. Check the actual company and fund criteria before placing any of them on the same shortlist.
Place the official source beside your operating country and customer evidence. A local office or an investment in a nearby country is not proof of eligibility.
Match the sector thesis to the company's next proof
ABSeed and NXTP describe business software, SP Ventures emphasizes agrifood, and GRIDX combines life-science company building and investment. Draper Cygnus describes early deep technology. These routes require different customer, technical and commercialization evidence.
List the next milestone and the evidence already available instead of assuming every generalist investor reviews every technology category.
Separate initial investment from later support
Magma describes pre-seed through Series A, Newtopia describes pre-seed and seed entry with selected later participation, and Kayyak describes seed through Series B. Simma presents more than one strategy. Check the relevant current vehicle rather than counting its affiliated products as separate investors.
Regional capital also reaches companies through different processes. A company-building program, direct equity fund and co-investor route may have separate requirements.
Use the continent view to compare, not duplicate city lists
Start with a country-specific source, then add a few regional investors where the company's real customer and founder connections support the research. Note language, sector, initial financing stage and any unanswered geography question.
Our broader Latin America guide includes Mexico and Central America; this South America overview focuses on the continent while acknowledging that several managers have wider mandates.
Investor profiles and official routes
These profiles are a research aid, not a performance ranking. Read the current strategy and portfolio before sharing a deck. A public contact route does not establish that a firm has available allocation for your round.
Monashees
Brazilian venture platform. Brazilian platform with a Latin American and global company-building outlook. The current site emphasizes technology founders building from Latin America toward wider markets. Explain the company's first customer market and why the product can expand. Associated AI founder programs and co-investment initiatives should not be counted as extra independent Monashees funds or assumed to have identical participation requirements.
Monashees: official investment information · CONTACT
Kaszek
Latin American venture firm. Latin America as the initial market; Sao Paulo and other regional offices. Kaszek's current FAQ separates early funds from Series C through pre-IPO opportunities. A Brazilian team should explain the initial Latin American business case, not just a global ambition. Select the appropriate strategy and round rather than treating every company in a long portfolio as evidence of the same entry criteria.
Kaszek: official investment information · Get in touch
Astella
Early-stage venture firm. Sao Paulo manager backing companies in Brazil. Astella organizes its thesis around business models and early company development. Show how the product is bought, used and distributed, then connect that evidence to the next financing milestone. A company does not become a SaaS investment merely because its pitch uses software terminology.
Astella: official investment information · Official contact route
DOMO.VC
Brazilian technology venture firm. Brazilian manager investing across Latin America. DOMO's current page describes an early-stage technology platform with Latin American reach. Prepare the actual product, customer and growth problem before selecting the team. Investor experience and well-known historical investments provide context, not a promise that a new company will receive the same funding or support.
DOMO.VC: official investment information · contact
ABSeed
B2B software venture firm. Brazil-linked software platform with regional ambitions. ABSeed's current proposition centers on B2B software and go-to-market execution. Describe the buyer, sales motion, onboarding, retention evidence and how AI changes the workflow. Its occasional later-stage participation should not be confused with the initial seed/pre-Series A strategy.
ABSeed: official investment information · Contact us
Vox Capital
Impact-focused multi-strategy investment platform. Brazil-focused impact and financial-market strategies. Choose the Venture Capital strategy rather than treating the platform's credit or portfolio-management products as startup equity. Explain both the business result and the social or environmental mechanism. Impact is not a substitute for commercial evidence, and a fund subscription process is not a founder application.
Vox Capital: official investment information
SP Ventures
Specialist AgFood and climate venture firm. Brazil-linked AgFood platform with Latin American context. Its thesis connects food systems and the climate problem. Show the operating use case, adoption evidence and the measurable change in the agricultural or food chain. A generic consumer product should not be labeled AgFood merely because a customer happens to work in agriculture. Use the published pitch route.

Valor Capital Group
Cross-border venture platform. Connects US, Latin American and global technology markets. Valor's current proposition is cross-border company building. Explain what the business gains from the specific operating connection: customers, product expertise, distribution or market expansion. A US connection in the pitch is not enough on its own, and an existing Brazilian portfolio company does not establish universal eligibility.

MAYA Capital
Early-stage Latin American venture firm. Latin American founder mandate; confirm the company's operating-market fit. MAYA's current approach emphasizes leading a first venture round and hands-on work from zero to one. Explain the company's initial market, team insight and evidence of a real customer problem. A broad Latin American mandate should not be rewritten as automatic eligibility for every incorporation or business model.
MAYA Capital: official investment information
Indicator Capital
Deep-tech venture firm. Sao Paulo and California offices; Latin American innovation. The current thesis links sensing, connectivity, compute, reasoning and real-world action across productive industries. Show how the technology changes a physical operating system, not just a dashboard. Connect the technical advantage to the agriculture, logistics, infrastructure, health or energy problem it solves, and explain the next validation milestone.

Dalus Capital

Wollef: official investment information
NXTP
Early-stage venture firm. Latin America; offices listed in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. NXTP explicitly describes early-stage B2B investing and lists regional offices. Specify the business buyer and product evidence; office presence alone does not guarantee a company's eligibility.
NXTP: official investment information · Contact
Magma Partners
Regional venture firm. Latin American entrepreneurs; confirm the current fund. Magma explicitly describes pre-seed through Series A and a generalist strategy. Separate its initial investment from founder services and check the published founder submission route.

Alaya Capital
Regional venture firm. Latin American digital entrepreneurs. Alaya describes backing Latin American digital entrepreneurs. The presence of multiple funds does not create multiple independent managers; identify the vehicle and round currently open for research.

Kayyak Ventures
Venture firm. Primarily Latin America, with some Latin founders elsewhere. Kayyak's current philosophy describes seed through Series B and revenue, margin or unit-economics considerations. The founder should prepare evidence and confirm the present vehicle rather than assume a standard investment decision.
Kayyak Ventures: official investment information · Contact
Simma Capital
Venture capital platform. Latin America-connected teams; distinct Colombian pre-seed route. Simma identifies a regional seed venture strategy and separate specialist and pre-seed products. Count the platform once, but choose the actual vehicle and country fit.

Draper Cygnus

Life-science investment and company-building platform. Latin American bioeconomy ecosystem; verify the current program scope. GRIDX combines company creation, investment and cohort activity. Record the investment vehicle once and distinguish scientific support or a program application from a committed financing round.

Fen Ventures
Early-stage venture firm. Spanish-speaking Latin American startups; official FAQ excludes Brazil. Fen's official FAQ explicitly distinguishes Spanish-speaking Latin America from Brazil. This is a useful filter: regional language should never be assumed to mean identical country eligibility.

Worked example: comparing a Brazil and Colombia expansion
Illustrative example, not an investment recommendation. A fictional software team sells to three Brazilian businesses and is researching a Colombia pilot. The pilot is not signed revenue, and no investor has evaluated the company.
Questions for a fictional South American software company
| Research route | Why consider it | Open question |
|---|---|---|
| ABSeed | B2B software thesis | Does its current fund match the company's stage? |
| NXTP | Regional B2B technology | Does evidence support the company's actual markets? |
| Magma Partners | Regional early-stage strategy | Is the current vehicle open to this company? |
| Fen Ventures | Spanish-speaking regional focus | Does its published Brazil exclusion apply? |
Keep verified revenue, a planned pilot and unknown investor fit separate.

Methodology, research date and local guides
Research checked October 29, 2026 by the Finta Editorial Team with AI-assisted source review. We reconciled provider names from our existing city research and reviewed current official strategy, portfolio, location or founder-contact pages. Firms with multiple offices count once; angel networks count as networks, not one committed pooled fund. We distinguish local presence from investment mandate and company eligibility. We do not infer check sizes, investor returns, lead behavior or open allocation from a portfolio logo.
We reused provider-level research from Brazilian and Latin American guides, checked official investor strategies and compared the distinct market and stage requirements. Managers are counted once even if they appear in multiple countries or operate multiple funds. Several have mandates beyond South America; an office or portfolio investment does not establish eligibility.
This selection is not exhaustive, a ranking or a commitment to invest. Verify the current fund and process directly.
