Startup Pitch Deck Examples: 16 Decks, Memos, and Pitches

Startup pitch deck examples can help you see how different companies explain a problem, a product, and an opportunity. This collection brings together 16 historical decks, presentations, a memo, and a recorded pitch, including Airbnb, LinkedIn, Coinbase, and Peloton. Use them to sharpen your own story, not to copy somebody else's numbers.

The collection began as Finta's 2024 Pitch Deck March Madness feature. It is now an evergreen study library, not an active competition or promotion. We identify the format of each resource because a seed deck, an investor memo, and a product presentation do different jobs.

Choose an example that fits the question you are working on

Most slide resources are historical copies hosted on SlideShare by the named uploaders, not authenticated originals published on the company's current website. LinkedIn also has a founder's annotated account, and DoorDash is a Demo Day video. Historical market figures and traction describe the period of the material, not the company's current performance.

A pitch deck study worksheet

Choose two or three relevant examples, then answer these questions in your own working document. This worksheet is Finta's editorial framework, not a claim that a particular deck caused a successful fundraise.

  1. Audience: Who is the presentation for, and what decision does it seek?
  2. Opening: When do you understand the customer, problem, and proposed solution?
  3. Evidence: Which claims are supported, which are assumptions, and what would you ask to verify?
  4. Order: Why does one idea come before another? Does that order fit your company?
  5. Economics: Can you distinguish market opportunity, business model, historical results, and forecasts?
  6. Transfer: What communication choice could improve your deck without borrowing the example's facts?

For a slide-by-slide planning framework, use our guide to creating a pitch deck. For the narrative itself, read the pitch deck storytelling guide.

Airbnb pitch deck

Ask how the opening connects the traveler's problem to a marketplace solution. Which part of your own customer experience could become just as easy to picture?

Tinder pitch deck

Look for the moment the reader understands the product. What would a first-time user need to see before your own feature list becomes meaningful?

Brex pitch deck

Use the deck to question your own customer definition. Can a reader tell who buys, why the existing alternative is frustrating, and where the business starts?

LinkedIn pitch deck

Compare the presentation with Reid Hoffman's explanation of its context. Which investor concern determines the order of your own story?

Read Reid Hoffman's annotated pitch to Greylock for a first-person explanation of the audience and reasoning behind this Series B presentation.

Tesla presentation

This is an investor presentation centered on Model S, not a universal early-stage template. Ask when product detail helps the argument and when it belongs in an appendix.

Rippling investor memo

A memo can explain an argument differently from slides. Compare the depth of a written case with the shorter points you would need for a live investor conversation.

DoorDash recorded pitch

This resource is a recorded pitch rather than a downloadable deck. Ask what the speaker can explain aloud that would need more context in a send-ahead presentation.

Watch DoorDash at YC Summer 2013 Demo Day.

Blueground presentation

This event presentation is not labeled here as a verified fundraising deck. Consider how to explain the customer problem and service to people unfamiliar with your category.

YouTube pitch deck

Ask which parts of your product require explanation and which can be demonstrated. A recognizable use case can give the audience an entry point into an unfamiliar category.

Uber pitch deck

Use the presentation as a prompt to map the customer's experience before and after your product. Keep the comparison grounded in the problem your company actually solves.

Facebook pitch deck

Ask who the presentation is speaking to and what it wants that audience to believe. Do not assume a deck labeled with a famous company fits your round or customer.

Gusto / ZenPayroll pitch deck

The source uses the earlier ZenPayroll name. Study how you could explain the buyer's existing process before asking an investor to understand your proposed product.

Coinbase pitch deck

Separate explanation of the category from explanation of the company. Which concept would your reader need to understand before they can evaluate your business?

Snapchat presentation

This is labeled as a business presentation, not an authenticated original seed deck. Ask how the narrative would change for a customer, advertiser, or prospective investor.

BuzzFeed pitch deck

Use the example to examine your own relationship between audience, distribution, and the business model. A large audience number is more useful when the reader understands its role.

Peloton pitch deck

Use the deck as a prompt to explain the customer's experience and the business around it. The verified SlideShare copy gives an additional way to view the historical presentation.

Turn the examples into your own next draft

Pick one useful communication principle from the collection, revise the relevant part of your deck, and ask a teammate to read it without your explanation. The question is not “Does this look like Airbnb?” It is “Can this person understand our business and tell us what they still need to know?”

Give Aurora the approved draft and your notes from the worksheet. Ask for unclear claims, missing evidence, and likely questions. Keep your company's actual metrics and source material as the authority; an AI review should not invent the proof.

Review this deck using the study worksheet. Use only our supplied facts. Identify where the audience may lose the thread, which claims need evidence, and what belongs in an appendix. Return a short revision list. Do not copy another company's numbers or imply their fundraising result applies to us.

Keep the approved deck, investor questions, and next actions connected in Finta CRM. Our pitch deck analytics guide and investor follow-up workflow help with the work after sharing.
