Research venture capital in Brazil by matching the company's stage, business model, operating market and next financing milestone. A B2B software startup, a food-system technology team and an energy product close to deployment need different investors and evidence packs.
This guide compares 16 selected firms, investment platforms and clearly labeled angel routes. It adds national and cross-border context to the existing city research and distinguishes company equity from investor products, network membership and corporate procurement. The purpose is a smaller, better-supported shortlist, not a bulk-outreach list.
Map the financing job before selecting a Brazilian investor
- State the next company milestone. Define the technical, customer or operating proof that new capital will finance.
- Choose the business-model and sector route. Software, AgFood, physical infrastructure, impact and energy require different evidence.
- Separate presence from mandate. A Sao Paulo office, a Latin American investment remit and a US expansion strategy answer different questions.
- Identify who makes the investment. A fund, angel group and nonprofit connection network are different units. A program, member or institutional backer is not another committed cheque.
Compare 16 Brazilian investor routes
Use provider type, stage and geographic connection together. An office address is not a promise of eligibility. Where the current source does not establish a precise entry stage, the table leaves that question open.
Selected venture firms, investment platforms and clearly labeled angel networks relevant to Brazil, researched October 29, 2026. Not a ranking by returns or funding availability. On small screens, scroll the table sideways to see every column.

Define the initial Brazilian market before the regional story
Kaszek asks for Latin America as a main initial market and distinguishes early from later-stage funds. Valor emphasizes cross-border technology relationships. Monashees describes company building from the region toward global markets. These are not reasons to skip the evidence from the first customer market.
Write the buyer, procurement process, distribution channel and actual use. Then explain what can transfer to another market and what must be learned again. An international ambition is a plan; signed customers, working deployments and repeatable sales are different levels of proof.
Use business model and technical context together
Astella names SaaS, marketplaces and consumer models. ABSeed is more specific about B2B software and go-to-market work. Indicator's current thesis follows the chain from sensing and connectivity to physical-world action. SP Ventures focuses on the food-system and climate problem.
A single company may intersect several themes, but each investor will ask a different central question. Explain how it earns revenue, what technical advantage exists and the operating result delivered. Do not replace that work with a list of labels such as AI, climate or platform.
Keep angel groups, network resources and individual decisions separate
Poli Angels and GV Angels present early-company investment activity. BR Angels combines executive expertise with its investment ecosystem. Anjos do Brasil is a nonprofit network that fosters connections and angel investing rather than one conventional pooled fund.
Record the actual investment group, sponsor or process once known. Count each platform once in this directory, not once per member or affiliated group. Training, mentoring and an invitation to pitch can be useful steps without being funding commitments. The right next action is a qualified conversation, not adding hundreds of unverified names to an email sequence.
An energy pilot and an impact investment still need a financing case
EDP Ventures is the investment arm, while a utility business unit can be a separate pilot or procurement counterpart. Keep the commercial test and the equity decision distinct. A near-market-ready energy product needs an operating evidence pack, not only a software growth story.
Vox and Positive also require a meaningful link between business activity and impact. Define the outcome, how it is measured and the company's commercial mechanism. Vox's credit and portfolio products are not the same as its venture strategy. None of these distinctions guarantees a financing outcome.
Investor profiles and official routes
These profiles are a research aid, not a performance ranking. Read the current strategy and portfolio before sharing a deck. A public contact route does not establish that a firm has available allocation for your round.
Monashees
Brazilian venture platform. Brazilian platform with a Latin American and global company-building outlook. The current site emphasizes technology founders building from Latin America toward wider markets. Explain the company's first customer market and why the product can expand. Associated AI founder programs and co-investment initiatives should not be counted as extra independent Monashees funds or assumed to have identical participation requirements.
Monashees: official investment information · CONTACT
Kaszek
Latin American venture firm. Latin America as the initial market; Sao Paulo and other regional offices. Kaszek's current FAQ separates early funds from Series C through pre-IPO opportunities. A Brazilian team should explain the initial Latin American business case, not just a global ambition. Select the appropriate strategy and round rather than treating every company in a long portfolio as evidence of the same entry criteria.
Kaszek: official investment information · Get in touch
Astella
Early-stage venture firm. Sao Paulo manager backing companies in Brazil. Astella organizes its thesis around business models and early company development. Show how the product is bought, used and distributed, then connect that evidence to the next financing milestone. A company does not become a SaaS investment merely because its pitch uses software terminology.
Astella: official investment information · Official contact route
DOMO.VC
Brazilian technology venture firm. Brazilian manager investing across Latin America. DOMO's current page describes an early-stage technology platform with Latin American reach. Prepare the actual product, customer and growth problem before selecting the team. Investor experience and well-known historical investments provide context, not a promise that a new company will receive the same funding or support.

ABSeed
B2B software venture firm. Brazil-linked software platform with regional ambitions. ABSeed's current proposition centers on B2B software and go-to-market execution. Describe the buyer, sales motion, onboarding, retention evidence and how AI changes the workflow. Its occasional later-stage participation should not be confused with the initial seed/pre-Series A strategy.
ABSeed: official investment information · Contact us
Vox Capital
Impact-focused multi-strategy investment platform. Brazil-focused impact and financial-market strategies. Choose the Venture Capital strategy rather than treating the platform's credit or portfolio-management products as startup equity. Explain both the business result and the social or environmental mechanism. Impact is not a substitute for commercial evidence, and a fund subscription process is not a founder application.
Vox Capital: official investment information
SP Ventures
Specialist AgFood and climate venture firm. Brazil-linked AgFood platform with Latin American context. Its thesis connects food systems and the climate problem. Show the operating use case, adoption evidence and the measurable change in the agricultural or food chain. A generic consumer product should not be labeled AgFood merely because a customer happens to work in agriculture. Use the published pitch route.

Anjos do Brasil
Nonprofit angel-investor network and connection resource. National network with affiliated groups across Brazil. Anjos do Brasil fosters angel investment and connects founders with investor groups. It is not one conventional pooled venture fund promising a cheque. Use it to understand and access the relevant angel process, then record the actual group and decision maker. Do not add its members or affiliated groups to the count as committed investors.
Anjos do Brasil: official investment information · Current angel-network contact
Poli Angels
Angel-investor association. Sao Paulo association founded by Poli-USP alumni. The current association describes investment, mentoring and network support for early companies. Alumni origins do not by themselves establish an applicant-affiliation rule. Review the current startup route and explain the product, team and next milestone; a pitch or mentoring conversation is not evidence of an investment commitment.
Poli Angels: official investment information
Valor Capital Group
Cross-border venture platform. Connects US, Latin American and global technology markets. Valor's current proposition is cross-border company building. Explain what the business gains from the specific operating connection: customers, product expertise, distribution or market expansion. A US connection in the pitch is not enough on its own, and an existing Brazilian portfolio company does not establish universal eligibility.
Valor Capital Group: official investment information · Get in Touch
EDP Ventures
Corporate venture investor. Worldwide investment strategy; Sao Paulo investment team. EDP's current corporate site describes an energy-focused venture strategy and teams in Lisbon, Madrid and Sao Paulo. Show the utility or energy operating problem, product readiness and evidence from deployment. Keep a commercial pilot, utility procurement and an equity round as separate decisions; group presence is not an automatic customer contract.
EDP Ventures: official investment information
BR Angels
Angel-investment ecosystem and platform. Brazilian network of executive and entrepreneur investors. The published thesis values opportunities where the network can contribute useful operating expertise. Explain the company and its capital needs, rather than treating network size as committed funding. Its entrepreneur application and membership routes are different processes; submitting a startup does not make someone an investor member.

Indicator Capital
Deep-tech venture firm. Sao Paulo and California offices; Latin American innovation. The current thesis links sensing, connectivity, compute, reasoning and real-world action across productive industries. Show how the technology changes a physical operating system, not just a dashboard. Connect the technical advantage to the agriculture, logistics, infrastructure, health or energy problem it solves, and explain the next validation milestone.
Indicator Capital: official investment information · Contact · Additional official strategy or location evidence
MAYA Capital
Early-stage Latin American venture firm. Latin American founder mandate; confirm the company's operating-market fit. MAYA's current approach emphasizes leading a first venture round and hands-on work from zero to one. Explain the company's initial market, team insight and evidence of a real customer problem. A broad Latin American mandate should not be rewritten as automatic eligibility for every incorporation or business model.
MAYA Capital: official investment information
GV Angels
Angel-investment group. Brazilian angel group with a public startup application. GV Angels distinguishes joining its investor community from applying for startup investment. Use the company route and prepare a focused explanation of the product, team, market and financing milestone. Its membership, portfolio and exit totals are not capital reserved for a new applicant, and the group should count once.
GV Angels: official investment information
Positive Ventures
Early-stage impact investment company. Roots in Sao Paulo and a San Francisco presence. Positive's current primary page combines financial returns with a defined social or environmental purpose. Show the mechanism, how it will be measured and why customers will adopt the product. It is an investment proposition rather than philanthropy, and an impact label alone does not establish a fit or an open allocation.

A worked shortlist for a Brazilian farm-operations startup
Illustrative research exercise, not an investment recommendation. A Brazilian team sells software that uses connected sensors to reduce irrigation interruptions. It has paid pilots but has not established a repeatable regional sales process. The next round would validate reliability, customer retention and channel economics.
Match the same company to different investor questions
| Route | Research decision | Evidence to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| SP Ventures | Research the AgFood/climate operating fit | Show the agricultural use case, customer adoption and how any resource outcome is measured. |
| Indicator | Research the connected-system thesis | Explain sensing, connectivity, decision logic and real-world action. |
| ABSeed | Test the B2B software proposition | Separate recurring software economics from hardware installation and support costs. |
| Kaszek | Review the early Latin American growth case | Show the initial market and what must be validated before expanding. |
| EDP Ventures | Hold unless there is a clear energy-sector use | A farm customer alone does not make the product an energy investment. |
Keep source-backed matches and open questions in a working pipeline. Do not turn the exercise into a claim that any named investor has evaluated this fictional company.

Methodology, research date and local guides
Research checked October 29, 2026 by the Finta Editorial Team with AI-assisted source review. We reconciled provider names from our existing city research and reviewed current official strategy, portfolio, location or founder-contact pages. Firms with multiple offices count once; angel networks count as networks, not one committed pooled fund. We distinguish local presence from investment mandate and company eligibility. We do not infer check sizes, investor returns, lead behavior or open allocation from a portfolio logo.
Discovery reused the established Brazilian city research, reconciled duplicate names and added current primary research for specialist firms and angel routes. Stage, sector and geography are recorded separately; an undisclosed entry round remains a question rather than an estimate. This is a selected national comparison, not an exhaustive register of every investor active in Brazil.
Angel networks count as networks, not guaranteed pooled commitments. We separate current fund strategies, corporate investment, investor products and startup applications. No provider receives a performance ranking or a promise of introductions.
Informational purposes only. Finta is not a law firm or accounting firm. This is general fundraising information, not personalized financial, legal or tax advice. Discuss financing instruments, company structures, cross-border requirements and tax consequences with your attorney or accountant.
This is a selected research directory, not an exhaustive register or sponsored ranking. Confirm the current vehicle, team and process directly before relying on a fit decision.
Make the next fundraising step specific
Choose a small set of defensible matches, record the open question, and assign the next action. Use our investor-shortlist guide and warm-introduction guide to prepare the conversation. A longer list should make the research better, not turn into an indiscriminate mailing list.
